(Hastings, Nebraska) – Hastings College Athletic Director Chris Clements announced today that Brian Fink ('22) has been named as the head men's and women's bowling coach after spending the last year as the head bowling coach at the University of South Florida.
"We are very excited to welcome Brian back to the Hastings Athletics family. Brian had a successful academic and athletic career here as a student-athlete, and we are looking forward to him returning to campus," Athletic Director Chris Clements said. "Our bowling program has a history of success and we are looking forward to building on that success with Coach Fink."
While bowling for the Broncos in 2020 and 2021, Fink was a two-time Academic All-American and Vice President of the Bowling team from 2022-2023.
Fink led the University of South Florida bowling team during the 2024 season, who had gone multiple years without a postseason appearance. He was responsible for recruiting top talent through networking, research, and excellent communication. Fink scheduled practices and events to make sure team members have an enjoyable experience.
Fink inherits a men's team that won its regional to qualify for nationals. The women's team took second place at regionals, falling just short of a trip to nationals.
The Broncos are scheduled to open their season on Oct. 5-6 at the Midwest Collegiate Championship in Wauwatosa, WI.
