
Men's Track Makes Outdoor Season Debut
(San Diego, CA) – The men's track and field team made their outdoor debut at the Ross and Sharon Irwin Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Senior Brady Creech finished second in the high jump with a top leap of 6'07.00". Junior Tyler Salter also earned a top 10 finish in the 3000m steeplechase by placing eighth with a time of 11:00.96.
In the throwing events, senior Evan Morara placed in the top 10 of three events, as he was sixth in the javelin (145'05.00"), seventh in the discus (145'01.00"), and ninth in the shot put (43'10.75"). Sophomore Rafer Severson also took 18th in the javelin with a top throw of 124'10.00".
In the 4x100m relay, the team of sophomore Noah Hudnall, freshman Spencer Hille, freshman Adrian Lobeda, and Severson took 10th (44.27). Hille also competed in the high jump, placing 11th (5'11.25").
Severson was in the top 20 of the 400m hurdles, taking 16th (1:00.07) and sophomore Zane Eggleston was 20th in the event as well (1:03.89). Freshman Evan Struss had a strong showing in the 800m run, placing 20th (1:57.99).
Severson placed 42nd in the 100m dash with a time of 11.38. Also in the 100m, Hudnall finished 44th (11.49) and Lobeda was 61st (11.92). In the 200m dash, Severson was 39th (23.21) and freshman Tyler March was 61st (25.21). March was also 32nd in the 400m (57.63).
