TAILGATING

Responsible tailgating is available for all Hastings College supporters before home football games.  The Bronco Tailgate Zone, located in the South parking lot behind the PUFF and to the South West of  Lloyd Wilson Field, is the only designated location for tailgating.  Groups, organizations, clubs, and individuals may reserve single-game spots.  Tickets for the Tailgating Zone must be purchased 24 hours in advance. 

• Hastings College encourages tailgating to enhance the gameday experience, ensure a safe atmosphere for all fans and preserve the beauty of the entire campus.

• All Bronco Tailgate Zone participants must respect and follow all policies and procedures.

• If policies are not followed, those in violation may lose privileges for the remainder of the season.

Tailgate Policy

• Tailgate spots are approximately 30 ft x 20 ft

• The Bronco tailgate zone opens three hours before kickoff and closes two hours post-game.

• Two vehicles are allowed per tailgate spot, or one camper and one vehicle. No exceptions.

• Coal grills are not allowed

• You are responsible for the cleaning of all trash from your reserved spot before you leave.

• No gas-powered generators are allowed

• Propane/Gas grills are allowed. Propane tanks will be limited to no more than 10 gallons per vehicle

• No glass container - use cans/ plastic cups or plastic bottles only

• No indoor use furniture should be placed in tailgate areas, such as sofas or recliners

• No pets are allowed in any of the parking lots during tailgating hours

• Out of courtesy to others, only portable radio/stereo units will be allowed.  For safety reasons, stereo units requiring an external power source are prohibited.  Volume and the language in music must be appropriate for all ages

• Tailgate activities will cease at game time. Our security must be able to focus all of their attention inside the stadium once the game begins.  Security will ask those failing to comply to leave the premises

• Alcohol is permitted in the Bronco Tailgate Zone Only.

• All state laws apply to Hastings College and all individuals on the property of the College.

• Individuals must be at least 21 to consume alcohol.

• No kegs allowed.

• Hastings College Security and or Hastings Police Department monitors the tailgate area.

• The sale of alcohol is prohibited

• Hastings College does not provide electricity in the Bronco Tailgate Zone.

• Any violations of this policy may result in the termination of tailgate privileges and criminal prosecution and/or action taken through the Hastings College Office of Public Safety, the Dean of Students,  or the Hastings Police Department.
