Athletics Hall of Fame Nomination Form
The Hastings College Athletic Hall of Fame, established in 1989, honors and preserves the memory of athletes, teams, coaches and those who have contributed meritorious service to Hastings College and its athletic programs. A committee of college officials and alumni make selections based on submitted nominations.
Award Information
The Outstanding Alumni/Young Alumni Awards are presented during Hastings College reunion weekends. Timing of the award presentations are at the discretion of the board, and are either awarded annually, bi-annually or semi-annually.
The Alumni Association Board of Directors is the voting committee to select the recipients for these awards. Once nominations are received and combined with all former applications, it is the duty of the Nominating Committee to present the selections before the board at their annual summer meeting. Both award appointments are decided through a vote of the alumni board.
The Athletic Hall of Fame honors and preserves the memory of those athletes, teams, coaches and those who have contributed meritorious service to Hastings College and its athletic program. A selection committee of administrators and college community members names inductees annually during the Athletic Hall of Fame banquet.
The Alumni Coach of the Year is awarded by the Alumni Association, in conjunction with the Athletic Department. The President of the Alumni Association Board of Directors appoints a selection committee to select a recipient to be named during the annual Athletic Hall of Fame banquet.
