Willmott Earns GPAC Special Teams Player of the Week
(Sioux City, IA) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) is proud to announce the following football players-of-the-week for contests played October 20-26, 2025. Hastings’ Colton Willmott received the GPAC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Broncos Beat Mount Marty on Last-Second Field Goal
(Yankton, SD) – Trailing most of the game, the Broncos tied up the game at 20 with 6:31 left, and won it on a 40-yard field goal by freshman Colton Willmott with a second remaining, 23-20.
Broncos' Fourth Quarter Comeback Held Off by Bulldogs
(Hastings, NE) – In a matchup that featured a Bronco team coming off of a huge win at Northwestern before a bye week, and a Concordia team that the week before led by 31 before falling in double overtime to Midland, the Bulldogs scored a touchdown with less than a minute to go to win, 32-29. Hastings trailed 26-14 in the fourth quarter, but took a brief lead on a blocked punt that was recovered in the end zone before Concordia scored with 32 seconds left.
Ryan Voted NAIA Defensive Player of the Week
(Kansas City, MO) - Wyatt Ryan of Hastings (Neb.) earns NAIA Football Defensive Player of the Week honors after several key plays, one of which was a five-yard pick-six to lift the Broncos over Northwestern (Iowa) on the road.

Football Upsets #22 Northwestern, 10-9; First Time Since 2004
(Orange City, IA) – Going on the road to battle #22 Northwestern on Saturday afternoon, Hastings spoiled the Red Raiders’ homecoming weekend with a 10-9 win following a 51-yard missed field goal by Northwestern at the end of regulation. The win marks the Broncos’ first win over the Red Raiders since 2004.
