Softball Run-Rules Sterling in Game 1, Falls in Second Game
(Sterling, KS) – Continuing their KCAC trip, Hastings took on Sterling on Tuesday afternoon. The Broncos ran away with game on, winning 11-1, before falling 7-6 in game two, coming up one run short in a four-run seventh inning.
Softball Rallies in Game 2 to Complete Series Sweep
(McPherson, KS) – In a non-conference double-header against McPherson, the Hastings Broncos got five shutout innings, giving up only one hit, from senior pitcher Kiera Brack and the offense scored eight runs in the first two innings of game one to win, 10-0. In game two, Hastings led 2-0, then after McPherson took a brief 3-2 lead, the Broncos came back in the sixth with four runs en route to a 7-3 win.
Softball Wins First, Loses Second in Bethel Double-Header
(North Newton, KS) – Hastings jumped out to a 6-0 lead in game one in what turned out to be a 6-4 win, then lost 10-2 in game two.
Sitts Strikes Out 11 to Earn Series Split with Avila
(Kansas City, MO) – In their first games of the 2026 season, the Hastings Broncos took on Avila, losing 11-3 in game one, then sophomore pitcher Dani Sitts struck out 11 batters in their 2-0 game two victory on Thursday afternoon.
Softball Picked to Finish 7th in Preseason GPAC Poll
(Sioux City, Iowa) – Midland University totaled 114 votes and are the preseason coaches' selection to win the 2026 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Softball Championship. The Warriors tallied six first place votes. Midland advanced to the 2025 NAIA Softball World Series in Columbus, Georgia, and closed the season with a 40-18 record.
Kappler, Schneider, and Tanabe Collect CSC Academic All-District Awards
(Greenwood, IN) – Softball academic honors have been announced for the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) recently. Hastings had three players receive the CSC Academic All-District honor.
