Women's Tennis Rolls Past Polars, Extends Win Streak to 5
(Minneapolis, MN) – In their second and final spring break match of their Minnesota trip, the women's tennis team added a 7-0 win over Crown College. The win extends their win streak to five, the longest since 2019.
All three doubles teams for Hastings began by winning their matchups by a 6-2 score to claim the doubles point, with sophomores Josline Carter and Victoria Harris at #1 doubles, freshman Cara Ansbach and junior Paige Willcoxon at #2 doubles, and freshmen Lexi Benson and Kayleigh Cetak at #3 doubles.
No Bronco lost more than two games in singles either, as Carter and Harris each dominated at #1 and #2 singles by the score of 6-0, 6-2. Ansbach won at #3 by a 6-0, 6-1 score, while Willcoxon allowed just one game in each set.
Benson won the first set 6-2, then rolled to a 6-0 second set victory. Sophomore Abby Harveson competed at the #6 singles spot, winning 6-1, 6-1 to secure the 7-0 win.
Up next, Hastings will begin conference action at Morningside on Saturday, Mar. 22 at 12pm.
