Escalera and Schubert Named Bronco Student Athletes of the Month for September
(Hastings, NE) – Gabriel Escalera and Dekota Schubert have been named Bronco Student Athletes of the Month for the month of September brought to you by Hastings Physical Therapy.
Gabriel Escalera - Men's Golf - He had two top five finishes in three meets this month, and his three late birdies and hole-in-one led to 3rd place finish at the Siouxland Invite, which also helped propel the team place ahead of Doane on the leaderboard. Escalera also added a fifth place finish at the Mid South Classic, thanks to a terrific opening round.
Dekota Schubert - Women's Soccer - She scored a team-leading nine goals on 42 shots in eight games as Hastings went 6-1-1 during the month. Schubert also won GPAC Player of the Week from September 17-23, as she accounted for three goals on 12 shots, seven shots on goal, one assist, and one game-winning goal in that stretch.
The Broncos that received Hastings PT Athlete of the Week awards during September were Miriam Miller (Volleyball), Alexis Pontine (Volleyball), Jackson Pedersen (Women's Soccer), and Victoria Harris (Women's Tennis).
