Rowe and Escalera Named Bronco Student-Athletes of the Month for April
(Hastings, NE) – Jaida Rowe and Gabriel Escalera have been named Bronco Student-Athletes of the Month for the month of April, brought to you by Hastings Physical Therapy.
Jaida Rowe - Women's Track and Field - She had two first place finishes, one second place finishes in 400m hurdles, and a third place in the 100m. She recorded three national qualifying times in the 400m hurdles and her best time of 1:01.62 ranks third in school history and second in GPAC this year. That race led to her earning GPAC Track Athlete of the Week.
Gabriel Escalera - Men's Golf - He finished runner-up at the GPAC Championships at -5, which was tied for best finish in Hastings history at GPAC. He led the Broncos to finish second as a team at GPAC, which is the highest since Hastings joined the conference. Earlier in the month he took 16th at the Midwest Spring National Invite
The Broncos that received Hastings PT Athlete of the Week awards during April were Justin Rodriguez (Men's Wrestling), Jaden Stone (Baseball), and Nick Smeltzer (Men's Tennis).
