Miller Gains 4th GPAC Defender of the Week Award
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) is proud to announce the following volleyball players-of-the-week for contests played October 28-November 3, 2024. Miriam Miller received the GPAC Defender of the Week, her fourth GPAC Defender of the Week award this year.
Miller, a senior from Lincoln, Nebraska, Miller continued her outstanding season, registering 48 digs in their two matches, averaging 6.86 digs per set. In their 3-set win at Mount Marty, she had 26 digs and averaged 8.67 digs per set. She also added 7 assists and 1 kill during the week. She is currently in second place on Hastings' all-time digs list with 2076, which is 26 digs behind the current record.
Miller will have a chance to break the record tonight as she and the Broncos host College of Saint Mary at 7:30pm in their regular season finale, with the senior night ceremony to follow after the conclusion of the match.
