"Having the opportunity to hire someone like Ashley for this position is critical in this day and age," said Chris Clements, Director of Athletics. "Ashley brings the experience needed to help lead our athletes as the Senior Women's Leader (SWL) on campus as well as improve the athletic department's digital brand along with improving the game day experience for student-athletes and our great fans."
During her time at Minot State, Malloy created all pieces of both internal and external marketing plans for the 17 programs and the athletic department as a whole for each academic year; presenting this marketing plan to the administration, the marketing committee and the individual athletic programs. She helped build each team's brands on social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
"First, I would like to thank President Rich Lloyd, Athletic Director Chris Clements, and the entire hiring committee for giving me this opportunity," Malloy said. "Hastings already feels like home, and I am looking forward to being a part of enhancing the student-athlete experience and using the game day environment to create an exciting experience. I am so thrilled to become a part of the Bronco family at Hastings College."
Malloy also brings a wealth of experience in ticketing operation while also managing the game day experience. Malloy also ran a successful marketing campaign that brought the highest donation total in Minot State Athletics history for two years in a row on its annual Giving Day.
Malloy will also be the Senior Women's Administrator for the Athletic Department. This position is designed to promote meaningful representation of women in the leadership and management of college sports. "Having a female administrator on our campus will help guide us in making sure that we make decisions that are focused to support all of our athletic programs," Clements continued. "It will also provide a valuable resource in growing a student centered athletic department where we can meet the needs of our athletes."
