Women's Soccer Settles for Draw With Jamestown

Jamestown, ND – The Hastings College women's soccer team had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Jamestown on Wednesday night.

After a scoreless first half, The Lady Broncos were able to force a turnover and Kailee Lunzer sent a ball into the box where Naomi Pedroza ripped a shot that beat the keeper to the near post for the 1-0 lead in the 49th minute.

Jamestown came back in the 62nd minute with the equalizer and shortly after the goal, Hastings picked up a red card and had to play with just 10 players for the remainder of the game.

Neither team was able to find the back of the net as the game would end in a 1-1 tie.

Hastings did out shoot Jamestown 8-to-6 while finishing with six shots on goal compared to just three for Jamestown.

Hastings is now 6-0-1 (1-0-1) on the year and will be back in action Saturday Sept. 23 as Waldorf comes to town with kickoff set for 8:00 pm out on Lloyd Wilson Field.
