
Men's Soccer Picks Up Draw At Concordia
(Hastings, NE) – Coming off of a momentous come-from-behind win on Saturday, the Hastings Broncos tied 1-1 on Wednesday against Concordia.
The Broncos got the lone goal of the first half in the 17th minute, as sophomore Juan Rubio was able to knock the ball past the Bulldog goalkeeper on Hastings' first shot attempt of the game. The rest of the half went scoreless, giving Hastings a 1-0 halftime advantage.
Hastings outshot Concordia 5-4 in the first half, as senior Joe Vokins led the team with two shot attempts.
The Bulldogs responded with the equalizer in the 77th minute of the game, giving them the goal they needed to come out with a draw against the Broncos.
For the game, Concordia outshot the Broncos 10-7, including 4-3 with shots on goal. Vokins led the team with three shot attempts and senior goalkeeper Pablo Arce-Salinas had three saves.
Hastings will conclude their September portion of the schedule with a home game at Lloyd Wilson Field against Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday, September 28 at 8pm.
