Green Stepping Down as Head Men's Soccer Coach

Green Stepping Down as Head Men's Soccer Coach

(Hastings, NE) – Following the conclusion of the Hastings College men's soccer season, head coach Brad Green has decided to resign from his position.

"Firstly, I wish everyone at Hastings the very best. Thanks to Chris (Clements, Athletic Director) for the opportunity to be a part of such a great school," Green said. "Thanks to the GAs and staff for all their hard work. Thanks to the lads for welcoming me and giving me the chance to share a special season with them. And thanks to all the coaches and staff at Hastings for all their support and help. It was short but special and I look forward to watching the Broncos continue their success in the future. Up the Broncos!"

In his lone season with Hastings, Green led the Broncos to an appearance in the NAIA Opening Round this year with an 11-8-2 overall record, including 9-2-2 in their last 13 games. They were seeded fifth in the GPAC tournament and managed to outscore the opposition 5-0 in the conference tournament to claim the title.

"We would like to thank Brad for his time and dedication to the men's soccer program this past season and wish him the best moving forward. Sometimes you have to make tough decisions and we support Brad in moving to be back closer to his family," Clements said.

The search for the next Broncos head men's coach will begin immediately.
