(Sioux Center, IA) – After a 3-2 loss on Wednesday, the men's soccer team regrouped and defeated Dordt 2-1 at the Dordt Defenders on Saturday, rallying from a 1-0 halftime deficit.
Dordt scored the only goal of the first half in the 13th minute, which was one of their two shots on goal in the half. Hastings outshot the Defenders 7-4 in the first half and both teams had two shots on goal, but it was Dordt that led 1-0 at halftime.

In the second half, freshman Tim Berger put the Broncos on the board in the 69th minute with a penalty kick goal, evening the score at one.
The match seemed to be heading for a 1-1 draw, but a cross from senior Joe Vokins to Albert led to a Bronco goal in the 84th minute, as Albert kicked it through to give Hastings a 2-1 lead, which held through the final buzzer.
Hastings outshot the Defenders 16-13 and 9-4 on shots on goal. Berger and Albert each took five shots and combined for seven shots on goal, while Bowes took two shots. Sophomore goalkeeper Ethan Watkins had three saves for the Broncos.
