Shotgun Sports Takes 3rd at Inaugural Heart Conference Championships
(Lenexa, KS) – The Hastings College Shotgun Sports team took part in the first-ever Heart of America Conference Championships, placing third out of seven teams with 1320 targets. As a team, Hastings was third in trap and fifth in skeet and sporting.
Softball Loses Pair to Aquinas and Defiance
(Melbourne, FL) – The Hastings softball team wrapped up their games at the Space Coast Spring Games with a 5-0 loss to Aquinas and a 7-3 loss to Defiance on Sunday.
Mattern Finishes NAIA Runner-Up at 285; Tied for Best Individual Result in School History
(Wichita, KS) – Hastings sent three Broncos to the National Championships, as junior Justin Rodriguez, sophomore Jordan Tobias, and sophomore Koen Mattern wrestled at the best-of-the-best event. Mattern defeated three wrestlers at 285 seeded higher than him, including a familiar foe at the #1-seed in the semifinal, to reach the final, where he was pinned at the end of the first period. His runner-up finish is tied for the best in school history.
4 Broncos Named to All-GPAC Dance Teams
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The 2026 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Dance All-Conference Team has been selected. Meredith Ehlenfield from Midland University has been selected as the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Dance Athlete-of-the-Year.
Baseball Wins on 10th-Inning Home Run Over Nebraska Wesleyan
(Lincoln, NE) – Hastings overcame a 4-2 deficit on Saturday, ending with a 10th-inning pinch-hit home run by junior Dylan Wimbs, to win 5-4.
Rowe Becomes NAIA All-American in 400m
(Gainesville, FL) – Members of the women’s track and field team competed at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships in the three-day event, beginning on Thursday.
