(Seward, NE) - The Hastings Broncos traveled to Seward, NE on Wednesday, knocking off the Bulldogs, 2-0.
Hastings scored both of their goals early in the first half, which were there only two shot attempts of the half. The first goal was by senior Dekota Schubert, who scored in the seventh minute off an assist from junior Megan Lampe.
The second goal was scored in the eighth minute by freshman Madison Rhodes after a pass by senior Grace Henry. To give the Broncos a 2-0 halftime lead.
In the second half, the Broncos outshot the Bulldogs 6-1, keeping Concordia off the board. The shutout 2-0 win marks the sixth time Hastings has not allowed a goal.
Schubert led the Broncos with three shots attempted, in addition to two from senior Allison Seery.
Hastings will conclude their September portion of the schedule with a home game at Lloyd Wilson Field against Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday, September 28 at 5:30pm.
