
Women's Soccer Blows Out Pirates 4-0
(Hastings, NE) - After getting their first win of the season, Hastings came out strong and never looked back, winning 4-0 to get their first home win of the season.
Hastings controlled the first half, taking 14 shots with six on goal compared to 2 shots (both on goal) from Park. Senior Dakota Pritchard got the scoring going in the 24th minute, as senior Dekota Schubert got the assist in the 24th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
The Broncos would score four minutes later as a corner kick pass from junior Megan Lampe was scored by Schubert to grab a 2-0 lead going into halftime.
Senior Dulce Lopez opened the scoring in the second half off a great setup by freshman Madison Rhodes, making it 3-0. Hastings tacked on another goal in the 73rd minute, as Pritchard scored her second goal of the game, assisted by senior Grace Henry, to seal it 4-0.
The Broncos controlled the pace of the game, taking 22 shots compared to six for the Pirates. 11 of Hastings shots were on goal.
Hastings will next play at Kansas Wesleyan in Salina, Kansas on Wednesday, September 4th at JRI Stadium.
