Villasenor Wins GPAC Defensive Player of the Week

(Sioux City, IA) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) is proud to announce the following women's soccer players-of-the-week for contests played September 1-7, 2025. Hastings' Tatiana Villasenor received the GPAC Defensive of the Week.

Villasenor came up huge defensively in a 2-1 road win at No. 23 University of Science and Arts, saving 12 out of 13 shots on goal, including seven saves in the second half alone. She went 2-0 on the week with a shutout win over Ottawa, saving the only shot on goal. For the week she had 13 saves in the two games, allowing just one goal.

Hastings will host Bethel at 8pm on Wednesday, Sep. 10 at Lloyd Wilson Field.
