
Men's Wrestling Goes 3-1 at Loosbrock Duals
(Atchison, KS) – Hastings competed at the Loosbrock Duals in a two-day event hosted by Benedictine College.
In the duals on Friday, Hastings defeated Colby Community College 34-12. Sophomore Logan Hackman (133), freshman Jordan Tobias (149), and junior Israel Manriquez (157) had pins in the win.
They beat Bethany 51-6, as Dalton Michael (141), freshman Esteban Sedano (174), junior Matheson Rodriguez (197), and freshman Koen Mattern (285) keyed their win with pins.
Hastings beat Barton County Community College 40-9. Sophomore Creel Weber (125), Sedano (174), and Mattern (285) all earned pins in their matches.
In their last dual against Benedictine, Hastings lost 26-23. Tobias (149), Sedano (174), and Mattern (285) pinned their way to victory and sophomore Justin Rodriguez (133) won via tech fall, but the Broncos were unable to get the team win.
Up next, Hastings will compete at the Grand Valley Open on Saturday, November 16 in Allendale Charter Township, MI.
