Women's Bowling Wins Bronco Invite by 27 Pins
(Hastings, NE) – The women's bowling team put together a great team performance this weekend at their home invite, taking first place out of 11 teams at the Bronco Open by beating second-place Ottawa by 27 pins.
Junior Marissa Ruiz had a great performance, placing third overall. She finished with a 206 average and pin count of 1030, which included a third game score of 247 that was the best in that round and second best of the entire weekend. Senior Madison Henderson finished in eighth, as her total pin count of 999 gave her an average of 199.8 in the five-game event. Her best round was the best of anyone during the weekend, which was 256 in the first game.
Sophomore Kinzie Temple also placed in the top 20, finishing 15th. She had a total of 919 and an average of 183.8, including a final game of 213. Sophomore Langley Riha finished 62 with a pin count of 661 and average of 165.3 in four games.
Freshman Samantha McNeely placed 67th with a total of 561 and an average of 187 in three games. Freshman Breanna Miller took 86th with a total of 296 and an average of 148 in her two games. Junior Allyson Heidenreich had a total of 126 in her only game.
