
Women's Bowling Takes 16th in Wichita
(Wichita, KS) – The women's bowling team traveled to Wichita, KS on Saturday and Sunday to compete at the MidStates Open. As a team, they took 16th out of 27 teams.
Senior Madison Henderson led the way for the Broncos, as her total pin count of 1089 gave her the 28th place. She averaged 181.5 in the six-game event, which included a second game score of 209.
Junior Marissa Ruiz and sophomore Kinzie Temple also placed in the top 50, finishing 44th and 45th, respectively. Ruiz bowled a 1036 with two rounds of 190 or higher, averaging 172.67 pins per game. Temple finished just behind her with 1032 after her 189 in the sixth game, giving her an average of 172.
Up next, Hastings will compete at their home event, the Bronco Open, on November 2-3.
