
Women's Bowling Takes 12th at the Midwest Collegiate Championships
(Wauwatosa, WI) - In their first event of the season, the women's bowling team placed 12th out of 42 teams with a total pin count of 7389 at the Midwest Collegiate Championship.
Junior Marissa Ruiz finished 33rd with a five-set of 975. She had an average of 195 and her best round came in the first round with 222. Junior Allyson Heidenreich also placed in the top 50, placing 49th with 944 for an average of 188.8, including a 218 opening set.
Sophomore Kinzie Temple finished in 72nd place, totaling 912 pins, including an opening set of 202. In the five rounds she averaged 182.4. Senior Madison Henderson also competed for the Broncos, finishing 86th with 889. She had an average of 177.8 and had her best round in set two with 209.
Freshman Samantha McNeely competed in two sets, with an average of 182, freshman Breanna Miller competed in two sets with an average of 145.5, and sophomore Langley Riha competed in one set with 140.
Up next, Hastings will compete at the MidStates Open in Wichita, KS on October 19 and 20.
