Ottawa Takes Two From the Broncos

(Ottawa, KS) – The baseball team returned to Ottawa on Sunday to complete their four-game series against the Braves that was postponed on Thursday morning. Hastings dropped the first game 12-2 in seven innings and made a comeback from 4-0 down late to tie it at six in the seventh, before losing in the eighth in the second game.

Baseball Drops Opening Games at Ottawa

(Ottawa, KS) – The Hastings Broncos returned to the field with new head coach Steve Maddock leading the way. After losing the first game 8-1, the Broncos took an early 4-0 and after surrendering the lead at 5-4, they tied it on a home run by junior Tristan Martinez in the fifth. Ottawa came through in the ninth with a bases-loaded single to walk it off, 6-5.
Baseball Tabbed 10th in the GPAC Preseason Poll

Steve Maddock Announced as Head Baseball Coach

(Hastings, Nebraska) – Hastings College Athletic Director Chris Clements announced today that Steve Maddock has been named as the head baseball coach, coming over with 20 years of professional baseball experience, including 13 as a coach and seven as a player.
