Fredrick "Skip" Udlock
Mr. Frederick Udlock arrived at Hastings College in 1948 and served the institution for 26 years. "Skip", as he was known to his students and colleagues, filled the positions of Professor of Religion, Campus Counselor, Admissions Counselor, and Chaplin.
His contribution to the athletic program at Hastings College came in the form of his many years of volunteer work as the Bronco Athletic Trainer. Mr. Udlock was presented the "Honorary Alumni Award" in 1978 by the Hastings College Alumni Association. The citation for that award reads as follows: "Not only has Skip Udlock recruited students as part of his official duties, he has also instructed them in the classroom, counseled them in the locker room, and on many occasions married them to each other and baptized their children!".
In 1979, five years after his retirement, Skip was appointed the Director of the Physical Fitness Facility here at Hastings College.
