D. Lloyd Wilson
D. Lloyd Wilson was a long time resident of Cozad, NE. He managed the Monfort elevator for 30 years and was vice president of Monfort of Colorado. Mr. Wilson will be inducted posthumously for meritorious service.
Mr. Wilson's interest in Hastings College stemmed from the positive experiences his son, Rick, had as a Hastings College student. Rick never completed his studies, as he died of leukemia in 1971. Mr. Wilson established an endowed scholarship in his son's name and in 1995 provided funds for the Wilson Mathematics and Computer Science Center, a state-of-the-art computer technology facility on campus. Mr. Wilson was a long-time friend and supporter of Bronco athletics and Hastings College. The Hastings College Broncos play football and soccer games on the field named in his honor.
