Women's Cross Country Finishes 22nd at Greeno/Dirksen
(Lincoln, NE) – The women's cross country team finished 22nd in their second race of the season at the Greeno/Dirksen Invite.
Senior Cynthia Chaparro-Belloc led the way for the Broncos, finishing inside the top 150 at 144 with a time of 21:06.883 in the 5000m race.
The second Bronco to cross the finish line was sophomore Grace Dow at 157 with a time of 21:24.923. Junior Ava Brackhan finished third behind Dow, placing 184th with a time of 21:13.549.
Senior Shania Santos was fourth among the Broncos, finishing 193rd with a time of 22:30.612. Sophomore Whitney Cure and freshman Brooklyn Brandt rounded out Hastings' competitors, placing 213th and 225th with times of 23:20.587 and 25:05.281.
Up next, Hastings will race at the Briar Cliff Open on Saturday, October 5th at 9am.
