Women's Track and Field Continue to Hit High Marks as Season Winds Down

Crete, NE – The Hastings College women's track and field team was in action this past week taking part in the Kansas Relays and the Jim Dutcher Memorial and here are the results.

 

Kiara Anderson went on to win the hammer throw with an "A" standard national qualifying mark of 53.99m. Anderson would finish second down at the Kansas Relays in the hammer with a mark of 55.38m and was the top NAIA finisher by more than five meters and now sits fourth nationally. Anderson won the discus with an "A" standard national qualifying throw of 48.19m which is her best of the year and places her fourth nationally. Anderson would finish third in the shot put with a mark of 13.34m while Asia Tyler finished seventh with a mark of 12.46m

 

Jaida Rowe placed second in the 400m hurdles in an "A" standard national qualifying time of 1:03.36. Down at the Kansas Relays, Rowe bettered that time 1:03.04. Rhys Maxey would hit the "B" standard national qualifying time of 1:04.52 also at the Kansas Relays.

 

In the triple jump Trinity Doublin finished third with a leap of 10.94m while Ikea Cuff placed sixth with a leap of 10.33m

 

In the 10,000m run Ava Brackhan placed third in a time of 44:44, Mikayla Seebohm finished fourth in a time of 47:32 while Carley Davis finished fifth in a time of 47:40.

 

The 4x800m relay team consisting of Jilee Golus, Cecilia Velarde, Cynthia Chaparro-Belloc and Whitney Cure went on to finish third in a time of 10:22. Golus would finished fifth in the 1500m run in a time of 5:19 while Chaparro-Belloc placed eighth in a time of 5:23.

 

Myricle Moffett finished fifth in the 100m dash in a time of 12.51. Moffett would finish eighth in the 200m dash in a time of 26.42.

 

Katherine Columbus placed seventh in the 100m hurdles in a time of 18.80

 

Baylee Evarts finished eighth in the 5000m run in a time of 22:26.
