
Men's Bowling Wins Twice Over the Weekend
Lawrence, KS – It was a big weekend for the Hastings College men's bowling team as they took part in NAIA Weekend tournament one and two and the Broncos brought home first place from both tournaments.
In tournament one the Broncos finished with a pin total of 7558 while Midland finished second with a total pin count of 7467.
Kaden Kuusela led the way for the Broncos by finishing second with a five game pin count of 1139 for an average of 227.8. His best games he saved for last with a 255 in game four and a 258 in game five. Anthony Morella finished third with a total pin count of 1126 for an average of 225.2. His best game was in game four with a 257.
Kuusela and Morella earned All-Tournament team honors for their efforts.
Brandon Engels finished in the top 20 with a 20th place finish with a total pin count of 1010 for an average of 202. His best game was in game one with a 227.
The Broncos didn't let up on Sunday by winning tournament No. 2 with a total pin count of 6571 while Midland finished second once again with a total pin count of 6543.
Engels led the way on day two by finishing 11th with a total pin count of 1334 for an average of 190.57. His best game was game six with a 214.
Hastings will be back in action Saturday Feb. 24 taking part in the NAIA Regional Conference Tournament down in Overland Park, KS at the Bowlero Overlan Park.
