Men's Bowling Results from Trip to Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV – The Hastings College men's bowling team competed at the Glenn Carlson where the Broncos finished 16th and then came back later in the week by finishing 27th at the Collegiate Shootout last week.
As a team, the Broncos finished with a total pin count of 8373 while Savannah College of Art Design won with a total pin count of 9636.
The Broncos then entered bracket play as the No. 16 seed and upset Savannah in five game winning games one and two before coming back in game five with a huge game of 238 to defeat Savannah's 212. The Broncos then upset Oklahoma Christian in five games winning games one four and five to move into the semifinals. Webber International knocked off the Broncos in five to advance to the bracket final.
Kaden Kuusela finished 71st with a nine game pin count of 1593 for an average of 199.1 as he didn't bowl in game six. His best game was in game one with a 255 as he cleared 200 five times.
As a team, the Broncos finished 27th with a total pin count of 8579 while Wichita State won with a total pin count of 9928.
Kuusela led the way again by finishing 22nd with a total pin count of 1290 for an average of 215. His best game was in game six with a 268 while he also fired a 256 in game four.
Hastings will take the next few weeks off before hitting the road to take part in the Kegel ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic out in Addison, IL.
