Zac Osgood is entering his 1st season as the head track and field coach, after 20 seasons as the throws coach for the men’s and women’s track and field teams. Coach Osgood graduated from Hastings College with a degree in physical education in 2003. He also earned his MAT degree from Hastings College in 2006. Under Osgood’s coaching the Bronco throwers have earned 49 Conference Championships, 118 All-American honors, and 15 National Championships. Coach Osgood’s throwers have broken all of the Hastings College school records in the throwing events. Throwers that he has coached currently hold conference records in the men’s weight throw, men’s indoor and outdoor shot put, and the women’s outdoor shot put. As an athlete at Hastings College, Osgood was a five time NAIA All-American, three times in the hammer and twice in the 35 lb. weight. Coach Osgood is a USA Track and Field Level II Certified Throws Coach.
Coach Osgood was named the Women's Track & Field Assistant Coach of the Year for the NAIA in 2017 and the Men's Track & Field Assistant Coach of the Year for the NAIA in 2018 by the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association.
